All about the breaking of the outright record at Shelsley

At Shelsley Walsh last weekend it was incredible to see Will Hall’s 8 week old outright hill record being beaten 6 times by Matt, Wallace and Will himself.

Even on Saturday practice it looked as though Will’s record of 22.33 seconds from June would be beaten on Sunday and Wallace set the new record at 22.20 on the last run of the day ! He was duly awarded our Midland ‘Driver of the Meeting’.

In the great weather all weekend several class records were set and many competitors set new personal best times, which is what hillclimbing is all about!

Two more class wins for Richard Snow and Rodney Eyles extends their lead in the Midland Championship from Richard Price and Rob Lloyd in equal third ahead of Johnathen Varley, But still all to play for at Loton Park and Prescott for the overall title and for position in most of the classes.

Find attached and on the website all class points scores, list of the top ten places, the Top Ten Challenge, Under 25s and also the Over 65s.

See you at Loton Park
