Midland Hillclimb Championship

The Midland Hill Climb Championship started in 1980 and is jointly owned and run by three Clubs – Bugatti Owners Club at Prescott, Hagley & District Light Car Club at Loton Park and the Midland Automobile Club at Shelsley Walsh. They each have a Director of the Limited Company and two other members of the Committee to run the Championship.

Until his death in 2017, Tony Fletcher ran and was the face of the Championship along with his wife Maureen and sister Rosie Boucher.

As a ‘National’ permitted Championship we run three times during the season at each venue beginning at Prescott in April to end at Loton Park in late September Nine weekends with two scoring rounds at each, making 18 rounds with the best 14 scores to count at the end of season with awrds to be presented at the Prize-giving Dinner in December.

Five of the nine weekends also include the British Hillclimb Championship. After the cancellation of the 2020 season, in 2021 we had a record number of over 150 entries in the Championship with nearly 130 of those competitors scoring points.
